Welcome to Web Development!

Web Development is a hands-on course in designing and developing web pages using HTML (HyperText Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets). You will learn HTML tags for text, links, lists, images, tables, as well as how to control your layout using cascading style sheets. You will also create and edit graphics for the Web.

This course is taught in a computer lab, but you can do the coursework on other computer platforms than Mac OS, at home or abroad. It is assumed that you are proficient with the operating system on your computers, including file management and connecting to the Internet. You should also be proficient with Web browsers.

By the end of this course, you should be able to build functional web pages in HTML/XHTML and have a working knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). You should be able to upload your webpage to a remote web server.
